2 11 Opens the Asteroids WWW page in a WWW browser specified by the BROWSER environment variable. 1 2 Sensitivity of the ship controls. Higher values make the controls more sensitive. A typical value is 0.7. 1 3 Maximum speed at which the ship may travel. Higher values allow the ship to travel faster. A typical value is 16. 1 4 Ship inertia. A value of 1.0 means the ship will continue moving forever, while lower values make the ship slow down more quickly. A typical value is 0.98. 1 5 Indestructability period for new ships. A typical value is 50. 1 6 Number of ships at the beginning of the game. When all the player's ships are destroyed, the game is over. 1 9 Speed at which missiles travel. If this value is set too high the missiles might skip right over their target, so it's best to keep this value below 10. A typical value is 8. 1 10 Period of time until a missile that does not hit a target is destroyed. A typical value is 20. 1 11 Minimum period of time between firing two missiles. This prevents the player from firing missiles too fast. A typical value is 4. Set this value higher for a more difficult game. 1 12 Maximum number of asteroids that may be on the screen at one time. Default value is 4. Lower values make the game much more difficult. 1 15 Asteroid speed. Higher values allow asteroids move faster and make for a more difficult game. A typical value is 3. 1 16 Number of new smaller asteroids created when an asteroid is destroyed. Typically 2 or 3. Beware of using higher values as the game quickly becomes unplayable. 1 17 Enables asteroids to rotate slowly during the game. Turning this option off may improve the speed of the game on slow machines. 1 20 Enables game animation to continue when a game is not in progress. 1 21 Enables sounds during the game. 1 22 Configures sensitivity to mouse movements used to rotate the ship during the game. Higher values make the ship rotate more quickly. 1 23 A delay in milliseconds between individual frames in the game. On faster machines where the game runs too quickly a value of about 50 here can make the game more playable. 1 24 Enables mouse control of the game. 1 25 Enables control of the game with the shift, control and alternate keys. 1 27 Enables the current settings and closes the window. 1 30 Enables the current settings. 1 29 Cancels the current settings (reverting to previous settings) and closes the window. 1 28 Fills the window with default settings.
