System Requirements =================== HALLUCINOGEN requires a blitter chip (either 8MHz or 16MHz), and is primarily designed for the STE, MEGA-ST(E) and FALCON. The screen won`t run on an STFM. It may also run on a TT, though it`s not been tested (as of the release date). The demo requires 405Kbs of RAM, so it will run on a 520, but you may need to remove some resident programs from memory if you have any problems. It goes without saying that it must be run on the machine`s native TOS (not MultiTOS, MagiC, etc) in ST low res (320 by 200 by 16 colors). If you experience any unusual problems trying to run HALLUCINOGEN, please let me know, describing the system setup you have and the nature of the problem. [See 'Contacting Us' below, for details of contacting VIRTUAL INFINITY]. Other Information ================= This screen (or something very much like it) was conceived over four months, back in July `94. Several sleepless nights, countless cups of coffee, many many hours when I should have been worrying about other things, and fifty megabytes of graphics later, it has finally escaped from the depths of my harddrive! HALLUCINOGEN contains stunning effects, as promised, some of which have never been seen in GFA before: * Realtime, 4 bitplane bouncing scrolltext * Massive 4 bitplane sprites * 'Pre-coded' JPEG images * 'Pre-coded' MPEG animation * All running synchronously at 50Hz * All coded in pure GFA (except musyc) The digital images contained within this demo were taken by the Hubble Space Telescope, back in July, when the Shoemaker-Levy 9 comet collided with Jupiter with spectacular force. Any subliminal images contained within this demo are harmless. The main credits for the demo are as follows: * GFA graphics coding and screen compilation by Professor * 68000 musyc coding by Kryten * VIRTUAL INFINITY logo and bombs painted by 68K * Font painted by SH3 of Reservoir Gods * Animation sequence compiled by Walt Feimer * Ripped musyc written by Big Al Please read the scrolltext on the actual screen for further information, including greetings and technical details.
