I honestly believe that this is our best issue so far, it contains all of the latest information along with our on going features.
On a recent trip into Bristol, I visited Electronic Boutique (something I rarely do since they seemed to stop supporting the Jag) and I was extremely surprised to see a number of new Jaguar games on sale at very low prices. Major games such as Doom and Power Drive Rally were just œ29.99, and I picked up a brand spanking new copy of Syndicate for the unbelievably low price of œ9.99. They were also stocking a number of the consoles for œ59 including Cybermorph (which was also available seperately at œ49.99 meaning you could get a new Jag for a tenner!). One puzzling thing is why on earth were these new games in the pre-owned section?
I also found that Beatties were stocking a large number of the consoles and a few games (all for less than œ20 - Brutal Sports Football and Sensible Soccer for œ14.97). This was surprising seeing as current report state that JTS Atari has dropped the Jag (See last issues news), I must have seen more Jag stuff in town than ever before!
Anyhow, back to the magazine! This issue sees the start of our Profile section. Each month, this section will carry a profile of a well known Atari user. The profile will cover as much as possible about the way they use their Atari's, their favourite software, and other interesting titbits.
The second installment of our Top Ten series is based on Simulations. This is probably the widest ranging area of Atari games we'll cover, so anything in this section will have to be something special.
We also have reviews and previews of the latest software, and as always, the latest news.
You'll also find on the disk the latest version of Z-Control which has been preconfigured to run on all TOS versions, a few CPX's and a copy of Menuinfo v2.41 which is reviewed this issue. Just look in the STUFF folder!
Our unbeatable contacts section is continuing to expand and now contains even more organisations.
Finally, we may soon have our own web page, look out for more news on this next issue!
I hope you enjoy reading this issue.
Cheers!
