The essential guide to the biggest Atari event of the year


The biggest event in the Atari scene this year will be the Atari Shows. Organised by Mike Goodman, they will be the place to go to meet other Atari owners and find out about new and exciting products to be released over the coming year.


Where do I go?

There are three shows, one on Saturday 26th April in Birmingham, one on Sunday 27th April in London and finally, one on Sunday 11th May in Glasgow.

Show Times

Both shows will run from 10am to 5pm

Admission

£5.00 for adults before 2pm, £3.00 after 2pm.
£1.00 for children under 16

What can I do there?

No matter which Atari you own or what you use your system for, you'll be able to find something to suit you. Major exhibitors like System Solutions and HiSoft will be demostrating their latest programs and you'll be able to find out about releases over the coming year.

Games players are catered for with companies like 16/32 Systems and The Console Center. You'll be able to pick up some bargains in ST, Falcon and Jaguar games and all of the latest releases will be available to buy.

If you're looking for new hardware you could do a lot worse that to visit The Upgrade Shop and Titan Designs, they'll be showing and selling many exciting upgrades for your Atari system from Hard Drives to Graphics Cards and Accelerators.

For any other bits and bobs try visiting Best Electronics they stock anything from replacement badges to capacitors. PD and Shareware is catered for too with Goodmans International and the FaST Club.

User Groups are going to be there in force. You'll also be able to browse the Virtual Web 2 - a collection of Atari related Internet pages and Disk Magazines.
