The most important news in HDDRIVER 7.1:
- HDDRUTIL can now create removable media with a single partition that
are both TOS and DOS compatible. DOS/Windows and TOS can use these
media without additional software like Big-DOS or MagiC.
The most important news in HDDRIVER 7.0:
- Completely new, target-controlled SCSI code
- Generic SCSI interface with support for arbitrary SCSI peripherals
(SCSIDRV). Programs like MUCKE, GEMAR, SPIN! etc. don't require
SCSIDRV.PRG or SCSI.RAM anymore.
- Additional features related to DOS compatible partitioning.
- Logical sector sizes can be changed
- Support for XHDI 1.30

- Formatting of SCSI drives
- Sector test
- DOS compatible partitioning, also for partitions > 32 MByte (Big DOS
compatible partitions require Big-DOS or MagiC 5.)
- Partition IDs can be changed when partitioning
- Reconstruction of partition data if the root sector got corrupted
- Automatic configuring of HDDRIVER. All hard disks and removable media
devices that are found are added to the HDDRIVER device list
- New option "SCSI Reset when Booting"
- Support for DOS compatible media WITH FLOPPY DISK structure

- The number of read/write retries can be configured
