Power Up

Hi Colin,

I would like to inform you. In January 98 will come new version of Power Up game "POWER UP PLUS". This will be non-comercial product just tax-free upgrade for Power Up customers. PU plus archive will be placed od POWER UP home page, without some files...from originally PU.

New features:

  • better gfx
  • new sound: digisounds only with 2M
  • firing and oil emitting, using horn...action game
  • new tracks
  • PaCifiST support
  • other improvements include - start and qualify position identification, realistic skids

I have to be opposed to review in AT. PU's scrolling is not jerky on Falcon , try turbo mode (if you have 16 or more MHz Atari).

Thanks for letting me know about the Power Up Plus upgrade. I'll deffinitely be taking a look at it and I'll do a review in the next Atari Times...

With regards to your comments on our original review, I stand corrected! The turbo mode certainly is impressive and I apologise for my comments in the original review!
