Bits 'n' Bobs!

Disk Magazines

AtariPhile

The final issue of the critically acclaimed AtariPhile has still not been released.

It was planned that it would make an appearance towards the end of August but so far it hasn't surfaced...

We'll bring you more news as soon as we get it.

ST+

The excellent ST+ disk magazine, run by Dave Hollis is reportedly undergoing a few changes - not least a completely new look.

Dave has said that he may soon be abandoning the excellent STOS interface programmed by Tony Greenwood, and will be moving over to HTML, as used for the Atari Times and AtariPhile, to reach a wider audience.

The actual content is likely to continue unaltered but it will be interesting to see how well the mag makes the transfer to HTML...

Issue 22 is due for release in November.

STuff

Kevin Jones, one of our contibutors, is setting up his own Atari disk magazine.

Details are a bit sketchy at the moment, but we can tell you that it has been provisionally titled STuff, and this is unlikely to change...

The first issue is due out either at the end of this month or the beginning of next month, so we'll try to get a review sorted out for next issue.

Croft Soft Software

New Postcode!

For reasons unknown to us, Royal Mail have decided to change a few of the Postcodes in the Bristol area. This of course means that our address is now slightly different (by one whole letter!!!)...

Croft Soft Internet Publications

Croft Soft on the 'Net - one of Croft Soft's web pages - had a very positive review in issue 6 of Atari Computing. It got a very respectable 86% - the highest of all the pages reviewed.

Unfortunately, it no longer exists! All the information on it can now be found on the Atari Times Homepage.

There is also a whole new page at CSIP - Review!. It will hopefully contain reviews of the latest entertainment releases to hit the UK's shelves. So far it only has a few things but soon it should be one of the most comprehensive sites around...
