This stuff is what is left from last weeks sale, plus a few new items that I found hiding in the closet. As before here are the conditions: I don't know if this stuff runs with TOS 1.0, 1.4, or 2.0, some of it is pretty old so it might not work with newer OS. NO GUARANTIES! Second, I pay all shipping charges, except COD. Please add $3.00 if you want it shipped COD. Finally, I have a special half price offer. You pay full price on the most expensive item, and half price on all other stuff for that order (that's how I pay for the shipping). No, if you ordered last week and want some of the new stuff I will NOT give you half price on everything. You will be treated as a new order (sorry, but it makes my paperwork MUCH easier that way). Games (new lower price): Skyfox Electronic Arts $8 I don't remember much about this one. Flight Sim I think. Tass Times in Tone Town Activision $8 A bizarre adventure game in an alternate reality. This one was tough enough that I needed a hit book and couldn't find one. Time Bandit Michtron $12 A classic! Several games in one as you move to different worlds on the timescape. I may have trouble locating docs for this too. Mindshadow Activision $8 A graphic adventure game. I could never get into it. Ogre Origin $12 A computerized version of the Steve Jackson board game where a super tank goes up against and entire platoon of inferior tanks. I enjoy playing this with another player, but the computer opponent was too tough for me. Blacklamp Rainbird $8 I may be missing some docs on this. I could never figure out what it was about. Much like Mario Brothers I think. Borrowed Time Activision $8 Another graphic adventure. Double Dragon Melbourne House $8 OK, OK, so it doesn't have a lot of depth, it's still fun to sit down and kick, punch, gouge, etc. your way across the screen once and a while (admit it). Sub Battle Epyx $8 Submarine warfare. I have Red Storm Rising and don't need this. Tracker Rainbird $12 3-D warfare. Fly a ship down a maze of tunnels to get to the center. I loved this game, but it stopped working when I went to TOS 1.4 ------------------------------ Date: 16 Sep 91 15:20:21 GMT From: news.larc.nasa.gov!air12.larc.nasa.gov!dmk@uunet.uu.net Subject: Atari ST games for sale pt1 To: Info-Atari16@naucse.cse.nau.edu (continued from Atari ST stuff for sale pt 1) Applications (also new lower price): Easy Draw Migraph $20 This is an old version, maybe you can upgrade. n-Vision Audio Light $12 Drawing program? Micro C-Shell David Beckemeyer $15 For those who like CLI's instead of the Point-and-Shoot interface. Professional VIP $15 A spreadsheet program. Hardware: Keyboard Springs Free These are a set of springs that go under the keyboard to stiffen them up. I liked the mushy keyboard better. These will go with the first order to request them (you must order something else). *** Can you believe no one asked for these. Come on people *** *** they are FREE *** New Stuff: Breach $15 This is an interesting game where you as Squad Leader take your platoon of Space Marines into strange and unusual raids. When your done with the packaged senerio's, you can build your own with the included construction set. Gauntlet I $10 This is the two player version of the arcade game. I have Gauntlet II which allows four players, so I don't need this anymore. Harrier Combat Simulator $20 This is yet another flight sim, but has a unique twist. The Harrier can't go balistic like American fighters, but it has greater maneuverability. You can't run from a fight, or at least I couldn't. Marble Madness $15 Another arcade game. This one I really enjoyed, I had to agonize several hours before deciding to sell it. I've been through all the mazes, except the last one. I will sell this one on the condition that you tell me if you get through the last maze. Music Construction Set $10 This is an OK music maker, but I have a MIDI keyboard now, and besides I like Music Studio 88 better. Super Bike Challenge $15 This is neat. A two player plus computer game. I enjoyed this, but no longer find time or players to play with. Test Drive $15 Nice game, but Stunt Car Racer is more where I'm at. Universal Military Simulator $20 This is more for those who are really into accurate military simulations. If your into Avalon Hill board games, your bound to like this. Wanderer $10 A true 3-D game. Put on your 3-D glasses and watch the images swim around in front of you. I was fascinated by the intro, I never played the game. I have thrown some of the boxes out, but will try to find them if requested. If the price is too high, wait a week, I'll lower it. But don't wait too long, it may be gone! Daniel M. I did just this with an Apple greenscreen and it worked just fine, but I didn't have the rf modulator in my 1040, so I just passed the R,G,B outputs from the solder pads where the mod. would have mounted thru pots, the Hsync and Vsync thru small diodes, tied it all together, and connected it to an RCA connector on the back. The modulator should produce an equivalent signal, tho, if you have one in your computer. According to ST Internals, the composite signal is on pin 2 of the monitor connector (looking at the back of the computer, second pin from right on top row) and ground is on pin 13 (very bottom pin). -- - jason sodergren, soderg@ss0.eng.wayne.edu |v:313-972-5932 soderg@trace.eng.wayne.edu | ------------------------------ Date: 16 Sep 91 20:16:17 GMT From: noao!asuvax!cs.utexas.edu!sun-barr!cronkite.Central.Sun.COM!male!thepond!wright @arizona.edu (Bruce Wright) Subject: C compiler for sale To: Info-Atari16@naucse.cse.nau.edu >>In article <8294@male.EBay.Sun.COM> wright@thepond.EBay.Sun.COM writes: >> >> FOR SALE: >> LASER-C $125.00 >> C development system >> by Megamax Inc. >> >> Micro-C shell $ 15.00 >> by Beckmyer Development Tools >Good luck with that C compiler. At some time I got a letter from METACOMCO (in UK) that I could update my version to get the latest version. I did update, but for some reason never used it since. Now I have to use a C compiler on my MEGA STE for a small program and I noticed that my latest Lattice C compiler was version 3.04 (This was printed on screen by the compiler during compiling). The version I have includes the MENU+, DEBUG, KRSC, ansi C, making accessoiries, etc. (Those things were the major update reasons). However, I see mails on the net talking about version 5.xx. So I have the following questions: 1. Why did I never got an update mail since? (Yes I know Metacomco is out of business, but lattice C seems to be 'taken' over by someone else) 2. What are the major differences of these newer versions? 3. Can I expect major problems by using this old(?) version on my new MEGA STE? I currently have one printer, an ancient Okidata Microline 82. It has graphics ROMs installed, but there's two problems: 1. It's not Epson graphics compatible 2. The driver example given in the docs is for an Apple II!!! It works fine printing staright ASCII but I can't use it for screen dumps or graphics. Not to mention neither of my WP packages supports it. I'd like to write a driver but have no idea how to go about it. I guess I need some sort of template with comments to work from. Or if someone actually has written a driver for this thing, I'd love to get a copy of it. Second question, I'm planning on buying a Pansonic 1123 in the near future. As this is a 24-pinner, I'll need a driver for this puppy too. Does anyone have a source for this? If it helps, it is supposedly compatible with Epson LQ-850. Third question, how do I get the drivers to run from the desktop to allow screen dumps? I.e. how do I do the equivalent of "install printer"? This is one instance where the emulator is better than the real thing in terms of cost/performance. BUT you still have lots of campatibility problems.
