I have received my copy of FFF Club disk: it's very
interesting. It's a good idea to write your articles in HTML format: CAB works very fine.
Can your Club help me? Some time ago I have sent a letter (with
£10 inside) to register my copy of Double Bobble 2000 to the
author in the UK but I have received nothing.
Then I have ordered a copy of game "Superhighway" (I have read an
advertisement on ST Format #75 and #76) and I sent a letter (with
£15 inside) but I also have received nothing. I have sent two
letters to protest, but nobody have answered to me!
Please help me if you can as a member of the Falcon FacTT File and if
possible write me a letter soon.
Rosario Pignatelli, Naples, Italy
We are sorry to hear about your troubles, Rosario.
Here is what Leon O'Reilly of Reservoir Gods [Double Bobble 2000] has to say:
Dear FFF,I read with interest the letter on your homepage from Rosario Pignatelli concerning his registration of "Double Bobble 2000". I received a letter from Mr. Pignatelli in March, but the letter itself had the date written on it as december.
Due to me being in student digs in Liverpool at the time and having to wait for stuff to be sent through from Wales his reply was delayed for about a fortnight, but he should have recieved his registered goodies about a month ago - these include the sequel to Double Bobble with 100 more levels to battle through, Tautology II our true colour shanghai style game, a level creator for Double Bobble and a preview version of God-Paint. I hope he is currently enjoying these titles! We resent any suggestion that we are 'ripping people off'. If we were doing this for the money, we would not still be on the Falcon. We create games as we like the machine and feel Falcon users deserve good entertainment software. We thrive on feedback, we get a real buzz from people's reaction to our games, its our main motivating force. If you question other people who have registered for our games you will find our respond is fast and enthusiasic - we always write personal letters to people who register. The only two points when replies were delayed was immediately after the game was finished ("The Further Adventures" was not fully complete so we couldn't send it out) and in March of this year when I moved into my new student flat. Everyone else has received same day service from us.Also we have sent out copies of our new game "SkyFall" to everyone who has registered for our previous titles.
As long as there are people out there with Falcons we will continue making more software that people can enjoy, we still think its a great machine and have respect for anyone doing anything creative on it. Keep up the good work with the FFF.
Leon O'Reilly
Reservoir Gods Development Team
We hope to publish publish a response regarding "Superhighway" in the next issue.
It is the view of the FFF that when a person registers a piece of
shareware the author (or registration scheme) should acknowledge
receipt of the money.
Thanks for your kind comments :-)
