To help you in your quest for higher knowledge the gods secrete mystical blue balls onto the platforms. Picking them up will give you one of four special powers: Whirlwind: ---------- your lungs fill with steel! you now have the power to blow your opponents along the platform, out of your way, hurling them into deadly dangers! Lightning Strike: ----------------- you have the power to channel nature's raw electricity with which you may stun your opponents, knocking them senseless while you step over their prostrate forms. Slither: -------- with this new power you can force your opponents to slither down a rung of the evolutionary ladder, giving you the chance to climb higher and higher! Death: ------ the gods have been very kind, taking pity on your tiny fragile passage up the platforms of life, they bestow upon you this weapon to counteract the fatal blow of fate's hammer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LOADING THE GAME ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bunion Canyon can be booted off floppy or HardDrive. Winner of the most delayed, yet finally completed! Cwmvention '24 hour game' competition [Arnel's game is still to be completed 3 years on..;] Its name is also directly responsible for its delay, as not just one but TWO! graphics artists refused to draw a logo for it.. A third person was found who was willing to abandon all morality to do the deed. What he got in return for this, we have yet to discover. The game features rather an eclectic range of graphical styles, due to the fact that four [five if you count previous personas] separate artists have contributed (most unwittingly) to it. See credits. MrPink is the man responsible for the name, as well as the code. Bunion Canyon's sister game is coded by Yoshica of rg, and is called 'Hammered'. It is however yet to be finished, but might be released "at some point", perhaps. Maybe. Possibly. At some point. The 'Collins Dictionary & Thesaurus' (shorter version) gives the following definition for 'bunion': "an inflamed swelling of the first joint of the big toe." The game was coded three times. Third time lucky perhaps. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Credits: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CODE: MrPink GRAPHICS: ripley eddieCat sh3 MUSIC: MSG LOGO: eddieCat RENDERING: Tim L ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Greets: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Avena (Tat!)
