No detailed documentation is included in this release. The following text is just supposed to be a short guide to how the the most important and perhaps not so obvious functions in FlexTrax works. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE MOUSE ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some functions in FlexTrax is only accessable from the mouse: - Zoom Sample Put the mousepointer at the position of the sample you want to zoom and click left button to zoom in or right to zoom out. - Scroll Sample Hold down the [Control] key and click on the samplewindow with the mouse. Now move the mouse in the direction you want the sample to scroll. - Copy/Clear pattern Move the mouse to the pattern area and line on the channel you want to copy or clear. The mousepointer turns into a "block" icon. Now press the left button and move the mouse right and/or down to mark the block you want to copy or clear. When your block is marked, click on the copy or clear button to the right of the pattern area. To paste it just select the destination position by placing the edit marker on the channel and pattern line you want the block pasted (this can be done by clicking the right mouse button while in the pattern area or use the arrow keys of the keyboard in editmode) and click on the one of the paste buttons to the right of the pattern area. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- REALTIME EFFECTS ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- FlexTrax has support for reverb and delay realtime effects. The reverb has so far only one parameter; level, which controls the reverb output level. The delay has the following parameters: - Decay The the number of bounces the delaycho should play, or fadeout. - Time The time between every bounce. - PingPong/Single (PP/S) Bounce Strength PingPong is an echo toggling between left/right channel and Single is a midchannel monoecho. - Level Delay output level. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- MUTE/SOLO ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- At the bottom of the pattern area there are 2 buttons (one for each channel) marked M and S. M is short for Mute and S is short for Solo. Mute sets the channel monitor off and Solo sets all channel monitors off except the solo channel. Solo has higher priority than Mute. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE NUMERIC KEYBOARD ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- [(] Pattern (-) [)] Pattern (+) [/] Position (-) [*] Position (+) [-] Sample (-) [+] Sample (+) [0] Jump to line (0) [1] Jump to line (10) [2] Jump to line (20) [3] Jump to line (30) [4] Steprate (-) [5] Steprate (set to 1) [6] Steprate (+) [7] Mask Note (On/Off) [8] Mask Sample # (On/Off) [9] Mask Command (On/Off) [.] Set line (X) [Enter] Jump to line (X) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- KEYBOARD ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Alternate] Play song.
