I/ What are MODs ?
------------------

  These are soundtracker files in ProTracker format and some of its 
derivated version. I doesn't support old MODs with 15 samples but only
those with 31 samples slots. 4,6 and 8 channels MOD files are supported.


II/ System requirements
-----------------------

 This plugins simply needs:
- a Falcon 030
- around 20K + the size of the MOD to play


III/ The player
--------------

  The player is based on the DSPMOD engine by bitmaster. The plugin code has
been made by Anders Erikson and the memory handling has been fixed by Denis
Huguet. The sources for this plugin are freely available.


IV/ Features
-------------

- play 4/6/8 channel MOD files
- old 4ch MOD with 15 samples slots not supported
- dspmod engine uses linear interpolation
- surround mode can be activate through the 'mono' mode of GEM frontend
- no seeking possible
- maximum duration for a mod is fixed at 5 minutes (as there's no way to
 detect the real end of a mod file (because many loop forever))


V/ Known bugs and limits of this version
-----------------------------------------

The maximum replay duration for a MOD is fixed at 5 minutes, you have
to reassemble a new version of the plugin to change this value.
