Updates will come. PRESENTATION NAS was first arranged in 1995. It's a special show with a hacker convent, exhibition and different seminars - all in one place. This time the Nordic Atari Show is held in a school building, Kortedala Gymnasium, in Gothenburg. It offers several small rooms for the hacker contests and seminars, a big lecture hall for showing demos and films and a normal size restaurant for the exhibition. Showers and dressing rooms are available, and there is free carparking in the school area. Pizza restaurant, cafe and other shops are only a few steps away from the school. Kortedala Gymnasium is fifteen to twenty minutes away from the central part of Gothenburg. There are good possibilities for communications by tram or car. This year the exhibition and seminars are arranged by the Swedish Atari Users' Association (Svenska Atariklubben), and the hacker convent by nocrew. THE EXHIBITION The exhibition will be open on the following times: Friday 14th 12:00 -- 21:00 Saturday 15th 09:00 -- 21:00 Sunday 16th 09:00 -- 16:00 If you and your company or organisation wants to join the exhibition, then estimate the space you need and pay the fee to us. We offer you different sizes (measurements in Swedish meters) depending on your needs. 4,5 m2 costs 500 SEK 9,0 m2 costs 1000 SEK 18,0 m2 costs 2000 SEK If you want more space, then every extra m2 is 150 SEK. Please contact us first to get further information. The retailer's fee includes full entrance for two persons. Nonprofit organisations can join the exhibition for free (with a space of 4,5 m2). THE DEMONSTRATIONS More will be added as soon as we get to know about them. BBS We'll be showing STraight BBS, with products as Semper, LED, Octopus etc. Sysop Bertil Jagard will be answering questions and demonstrate different situations, as well as speaking about ethics and problems with communicating. MagiC What is MagiC? What is multitasking? Find out by using MagiC 4, and swapping between those programs. Learn about problems and get tips from experienced users. Making How can magazines be made with Calamus SL? We'll be showing how magazines the Swedish Atari Users' Association (Svenska Atariklubbens) with SL magazine "AtariMagasinet" is made. Tips, problems, features and possibility to make yourself some visit cards or other things to take home. THE SEMINARS More will be added as soon as we get to know about them. Internet What is Internet and how can I use it with my Atari? Experienced administrators will be talking about Internet - history, how it's made, the future and more. We'll put it in reality too, with products for Atari computers that all of us can use - easy! THE CONVENTION NOTE: This is preliminary information. Updates will come. Which computer? Atari in all forms. We want the hackers and the democoders. The Linux freaks. The MiNT people. The Jaguar nuts and everyone else that uses Atari in some form. Demo contests BIG ONE No limit at all. Should be able to run on a Atari compatible computer present on NAS96. SMALL ONE The limit is the shoesize squared (european) of the deliverer in bytes. World cup in alfabutton We will try to break the world record in typing a to z on a standard keyboard. So far, way below two seconds. Go practise... Films and demos We will alternate between showing films and old demos on our big screen projectors. Of course newer ones as well. Prices They will most certainly show up and be of good quality.
