25.3.1995 About FLASHY CHARTS... ---------------------- Charts in general... Have you ever heard about charts? There was a time when nearly everything on Amiga was charted. Now FLASH is working with new charts for Atari Falcon 030. The idea is that you have a chance to vote for the best crews, composers, coders etc. on the Falcon. We count all the votes and then release the results. The first Falcon charts will be released in the middle of June, so your votes must be at our World HQ before 1st of June. At the end of this file you will find a coupon for voting. You can fill it and send it to us as an ASCII-file, or you can print the coupon, then fill it and send the paper to us. The way you do your voting is not important, the important thing is that you vote! The rules for FLASHY CHARTS... The first rule is that you must belong to a group. Or at least you must be a well-known member of Falcon-scene. That is just to prevent you from breaking the second rule... ...and the second rule states that you can't vote yourself or your own group. That wouldn't be nice if everyone would vote themselves. The third rule is that you should have fun! Voting is an easy way to affect the scene. We hope that these charts will push the crews to try even harder to be number one on the FLASHY CHARTS... What can you vote about? 1. Best crews This is easy. You think which three crews (crew=group) are the best on the Falcon 030. You don't have to vote the team that has done the best demo on Falcon. It is more important that the crews you vote are your own favourites. So it is not only the products that count, but also the image that the crew has given to the public. 2. Best coders So, now you have to choose three programmers that you find the best. I guess this is so simple that no furter information is needed. Remember to spell the whole name of the coder! If you want to vote for example Chris who belongs to crew called Aura, you just write: CHRIS/AURA. 3. Best artists The same thing than on the best coders. You just vote for the best painters on the Falcon-scene. 4. Best composers Again an easy job! You just vote for the best musicians on the Falcon. Remember, that Amiga-musicians are not counted (many crews still use old Amiga-modules in their products). 5. Best demos Now you have a chance to choose the best three demos ever made for the Falcon. Remember to spell the name of the demo and the name of the crew. So if you think that the X-perience demo by Abstact is the best, you write to your voting coupon like this: X-perience/Abstract. It's sooo easyyy... 6. Best games Well, I know that there aren't many games for the Falcon, but you have to choose the three you like the most. The games don't have to be Falcon-only, but they must include at least some kind of Falcon support. 7. Best utilities Here you must vote the three utilities you think are the best. So you can vote for anything like assemblers, virus-killers, paint- programs, music-programs etc. It is up to you: What do you use the most! Remember that the first one gets three points, second gets two and the third voted gets one point. That was all folks! The only thing that is left is the voting coupon. Please fill it and send it to us immediately. Our address is: Juha Vihriala Eliaksentie 6 62800 VIMPELI FINLAND Remember that your votes are wanted here!
